North Carolina Facilities affected by December 17,. 1999 EPA Action

In a Dec. 17, 1999 action, the EPA found that power plants and industrial boilers and turbines in North Carolina, along with eleven other states, significantly contribute to ozone nonattainment in the petitioning states of Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania. In North Carolina, 27 power plants and 8 industrial facilities, including paper companies, will need to reduce NOx emissions.
